Thats just it. The componets that have yet to be installed have all had stuff added to them since they were finished, and these attachments would extend the life of the Hubble for atleast another 10 years.
Nasa has a team that has already trained on adding these componets, yet they pulled them off of it right after the asshole said that its not a priority.
Maybe they should turn the Hubble lose on W's brain to see if there is any signs of life in that grey area between his ears.

Its the curse of A-Rod.
Think I'm joking look at these stats
Mariners- with A-Rod made the playoffs once, swept in first round. after A-Rod went on to win a MLB tying 116 games and won the first round of playoffs in sweep, still continual contenders to this day
Texas- never had a winning season, nowhere ever near .500, after A-Rod they play great and are actuiall winning
NY- having a hard time staying near the top of the AL East right now

and look at the soriano for arod deal last year soriano had just as good a road batting average as arod he had more stolen bases and his rbis were about the same on the road as arod what would you rather take with you on a road trip someone with a higher OB% and that is about the fastest player in baseball and is a better road player or the stats first team second so called best player in baseball

Hicks was smart to dump A-Rod. Look at him in NY, he is a shell of his former self right now and if he wins the MVP again, it will be a crock

Hicks forgot the cardinal rule, dont overspend for one player and screw yourself out of what you really need. I actually believe if he had given A-Rod only 20 million a year, they could have easily gotten 3 young pitchers with the other 5 million he had saved and they would have been contenders even with A-Rod

If human history had taught us anything, it's that nothing happens without a reason. When space was new, and man had yet to even orbit the planet, it still boiled down to who could do it first. The Russians may have gotten someone to orbit the planet first, but it was Americans that seemed to have the long term goal, at least before Mir was put into orbit. The ISS is still a good idea, as it provides a jumping off point from Earth to the Moon or Mars, or anywhere else in the solar system. A colony on the Moon is a good idea for the same reason. Despite all the crap that humanity is going through right now, there's still a chance to get things done. While I can only hope that nothing too severe happens, stuff still happens. It may take something very painful to get humanity to unite, as most of humanity doesn't seem willing to look past their own problems and realize that the path we're on will only destroy us down the road. Forgive me, but I think I'm starting to rant... The point I'm trying to get across is this: The dream to expand what we know is there, and the desire to see what's out there is there as well, but it's going to take something huge to get mankind to work together in the way that is needed for something like starting a colony on Mars, or for that matter the Moon. Hope that it's not too painful a lesson that gets us to that point, but if that's what it takes, then hope that the lesson is well learned, and never forgotten... Once mankind learns to look past it's own petty differences, starting a colony on another world, or building something like the ISS should be a breeze by comparison. If our parents can't see this dream come true, and those in our 20's or so can't make it come true, then let's at least make damn sure that the ground work is properly put down for those that come after us. My apologizes , it seems my rant continued after all . Final bit: just for the fun of it, who knows the name of the Russian that orbited the Earth? I know it, but not sure I can spell it correctly.

Very well said nightcrawler. I think you are 100 percent right, and that is one of the reasons I love Star Trek, because it is basically about the future we could have, if only we pull our act together. Humanity has join as one on Trek, and a plantet must be join as well if it is tobecome part of the United Federation of Planets. For example, Earth as we know it today, would be refused membership into the Federation, and likey ignored. OK, now I'm starting to go off, out there somewhere. But yes, you are right, we do have to come together as a people in order to really move forward. Our current path can lead to nowhere good. And I too think it is going to take something terrible to unite us. Remember how united people were after Spetember 11th 2001? But I do know that space is the future, or at least it should be. We are but a spec of sand, a mere grain, in an infinate ocean. There is so much out there, so much knoweldge we could learn. Again you are right, most people can't see past thier own problems to see the importance in this. I think NASA and other orginizations like it should be given pleny of funding to go ahead with thier projects. Sure it will be tough, but nothing is impossable. I do believe we should establish a lunar colony, hell, I'd leave tomorrow if they would allow me to go help establish a colony on the moon, that would be a dream come true. But a lunar colony, then they should work on launching from the moon to mars. Once we get to mars, we will have the ability to do about anything, within reason of course. I also think unlimited funding should go to engineers to develope more, improved ways of prepulsion in space, and eventually a way to minipulate the lightspped barrier, for even if we were to achieve LS, we still are very limited in where we can go if we can never pass that barrier. We really would need 'warp drive' to really explore our galaxy. And for the first Russian cosmonaught, I honestly can't remember his name right now, but it's up there in my mind somewhere.
