Either vasquez or hudson, because vasquez is just a super-woman and is cool hudson because he's damn funny and goes out (unfortunately) very heroicly... but my vote goes to vasquez, because i know most people will vote hudson she needs the votes... ;D

Jonesy the Cat... LOL Why did you add Hicks twice, Myke?
I also voted for Vasquez. I like the fact that the women (the few there are) in the Alien movies are portrayed equally to the men. And Vasquez was a good soldier, and she was pretty as well. Usually they like to portray women who do 'men's work' as ugly and manly. Too bad she had to die. I also liked Ferro (the little I saw of her). She was a good pilot and it's too bad she had to die as well, and so soon.

Didn't mean to add Hicks twice. I'm guessing my answer will have to be an obvious one, Hudson. I think Hudson was a memorable character, who like Ripley, had good character development throughout the film. He starts off as a gung-ho Marine, who seemingly has a little of an ego and is usually getting into trouble, from Apone's comments to him early in the film. Then after the attack in the hive, he has a nervous break down which makes for some of the most memorable quotes in movie history. Then finally he takes control of his own fear, and goes down fighting the aliens like a true Colonial Marine badass.

Oh, I was reading something a week or two ago about the influence the alien movies had on the science fiction genre. They were talking about how in Aliens the weapons of the future looked a lot like our own, and still fired projectiles as opposed to phaser beams, etc. Well they also went on to say that Alien and Aliens played heavily in science fiction to portray a future where women are shown as being equals to men, and that this was even carried over into Star Trek as a direct result of Alien and Aliens. It had a lot of info about how Alien and Aliens has heavily influenced modern science fictions, and listed a lot of examples that I've noticed, but never knew it came from these movies. If I ever come across the article again, I'll post it here.

Hey Myke, you forgot Weirzbaski... or however you spell it... but i guess it's easy to forget him, the only mention he gets in the whole movie is hicks shouting his name... then you hear him shout in pain, and his screen goes blank. What a crap role for such a great movie!

She either means Newt, or the Alien baby from Alien Resurrection.
