New Alien Reveled for AVP2. He seems to be missing the Predator mandibles, which is a major plus. But here's the image of the alien in AVP: I'm not sure I liked the rigdges on the xenomorph's head. I much better like the smooth head, I feel that makes them more scary, as where the ridges takes a lot away from the aliens. What you guy guys think?

I didn't really think much of the original so I hope this will do well. It would of been interesting to see a Alien with Predator features and I prefer the top of the head to be smooth.
I heard it's release date will be December 2007 so we got a while to wait.

Yeah, Dec. '07 is what I heard as well.
I have to disagree about the aliens having Predator features. I'm a die-hard Alien fan, and prefer them to be the pure bred Alien from Alien and Aliens. Granted, the aliens from James Cameron's Aliens were a little different from the original, but was still very similiar.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about it... it reminds me of something I've seen before but can't put my finger on it. Very odd.

Those ridges are familiar to me too. We've probably seen them on countless other creatures, and just can't place them right now. While the aliens are very bio-mechanical looking, I still prefer a smooth cowl. The smooth cowls help the aliens to look more alive, and are a part of their fear factor that we all know. This new alien looks like any other creature from modern day CGI movies.
