Many years ago, in the small town of Shadey Oaks, there was a private boarding school for boys only.. This school had a great reputation and learning standards, most who graduated became teachers, or doctors. Back then they were the only reasonably good jobs for someone to have, the most high-paying at least. Thirty Four years the school had been running without one problem.
Then it happened. Children started to disappear at night. Not all at once...one by one over short periods of time, the headmaster at the school was baffled, he didn’t know what to tell parents. By the time six children and one teacher had gone missing, heartache and anger were rising within the town. They did the only thing they could think of and closed down Shadey Oaks all Boys school. For some closing it down wasn’t enough. They wanted to be rid of the memories of their lost children. So they burned the school down.
The six boys were never found. There are 7 gravestones now in the town Cemetery, no bodies though to be buried. One stone for each boy:
Daniel Tucker
Joseph York
Wayde Johnson
Tyler Garret
Justin Cooper
Lloyd Larson
Larry D
50 years after the fire that burned down the school, a new building was built over the forgotten ruins. The story of the all boys’ school was basically just that, a story. No one remembered what had happened; those heartbroken parents and siblings of the lost boys have since passed on, or moved to a different city.
No one got in the way of building a hospital on the exact spot the school had been; so without hassle Shadey Oaks Hospital was built. Again, this hospital was said to be one of the best in the country. The doctors were the best doctors, patients were healed, and the cost wasn’t all too much.
What people didn’t know was that sometimes someone no one knew would be sent to the hospital. People with no family ties in the city; those visitors were the ones that didn’t come out. It wasn’t until the hospital had been running for about Thirty Four years that someone came looking for their brother who had gone to Shadey Oaks seeking medical attention.
The woman was easily enough turned away, after being told that yes he had been there, but left within a day or two. Well, visitors stopped coming, so now it was doctors who started to disappear. In the end 6 doctors plus the man who ran the hospital; had gone missing..
There was no explanation for the disappearances. Doctors were now afraid to work where their fellow doctors had disappeared, so Shadey Oaks was shut down, there was a small memorial in city square for those that vanished with no trace.
When some kids decided to mess around in the abandoned hospital, they found something in the walls. The walls were filled with dead bodies. After that, it was decided that the building would be burned down. All that’s left to remind people of the hospital is the memorial in town square, which reads:
In Memory of:
D. Tucker
J. York
W. Johnson
T. Garret
J. Cooper
L. Larson

Years pass and people forget. The world changes, as do people. People move, and people die. The town of Shadey Oaks had become a country town. Not many lived there which made it a perfect spot to build an Asylum.
50 years after the town’s hospital was burned down, Shadey Oaks Asylum was built. It has run very smoothly for the past thirty years. This is where my story stops, and yours begins…
There are no cannon characters, so you're going to have to go into the imagination you all have (I know you have them or you wouldn't roleplay) and write out your own preferably original character.
