IMDB pageOfficial move siteI saw this movie on a lark... but I think it was good I chose to see it. Yes, I know it's based on a book, but I have not read it, nor heard of it until a couple weeks ago. However, I think the movie was wildly entertaining and great fun. It can be a little weird at times, as it's not a conventional fairy tale (in my opinion), but it's still a good fantasy story. I enjoyed it very much.

I really wanted to see Stardust, but I broke my leg the day before it came out. I'd read the book (by the marvelous Neil Gaiman) and fell in love with it. I've heard/read it's a very enjoyable movie - and I still can't wait to see it! ^_~

It is.. but I just read the book myself... and I would prepare yourself for the movie being quite a bit different.
However, comparing the two, I enjoyed the movie more.. but perhaps that is just because I experienced that before the book.

Neil Gaiman's book was excellent .. the movie was alright, but I always tend to think that books are better

Generally I do too, and perhaps it is because I read the book after seeing the movie. But I enjoyed the way the movie played out more than the novel.
