Well this movie has been on TNT all weekend here in the U.S. as the network television premier. I watched it last night for the first time since seeing Two Towers, and Return of the King, and I enjoyed it so much more this time around. I imagine I enjoyed it more, since having never of read the books, I watched it knowing most of the full story this time around, and everything they said, and everything Gandalf explains to Froto made perfect sense to me. What a gret movie, I always knew it was, but just enjoyed it more this time around.

Ah, fantastic! I can understand how someone might be completely clueless (especially the first part of the film) when watching The Fellowship of The Ring for the first time. Let's hope you enjoy the other as well, just as much.

Yeah, I hate it too, but dont own the DVD, only own Two Towers and ROTK.
Too bad they didnt play it "uncut" like Spike TV does sometimes with Star Trek and some movies.

FOTR is a great film. Much better than TTT and RotK IMO.

Fellowship of the Ring has been all over here on TV. It was on TNT and it was on ABC for a few weeks. I have it on DVD and I have read the books. I have seen the movie for a totla of maybe 6 times so far (I plan on watching all 3 in a row after chirstmas). I liked the movie the second time around, each time I watch it I find little extras that I didn't know about each time.

FOTR is good, but I like TTT. It had better battles! Although the battle at the end of FOTR was pretty wicked, too. They're all great. But ROTK I thought went on too long. It reminded me of AI, it didn't know when it end. lol

I have watched them all in a row twice now. The first time was when I saw RotK for the first time when it premeired. They had a special screening of all 3 films back to back to back and it was very good...the best way to see the films IMO. Then last Christmas I watched them all 3 back to back to back.

I wanted to do the "Bladder Buster" (as they called that screening), but my parents didn't feel like it was good for me.

I know, because it's the best way to get into the dark mood for the third movie. Ah well.
