Instead of Boromir, do you think he would have survived Amon Hen?
I think he would have, I'm not knocking Boromir, because he gave his life to save the bobbits after all. I think if Faramir was in the same situation, he would have been able to kill the surrounding orcs, and protect Merry and Pippin. And when it came to Lurtz I think he would have got out his Bow and nailed him before he got there.
But it also makes you wonder what would have happened if that did happen, because Faramir wouldn't try to take the ring of Frodo, (We know this because of teh two towers) and therefore the fellowship wouldn't have split up.
So they would have continued going down that road, but would Faramir return to Minas Tirth like Boromir planned too? And if he did, who would follow him?
I think the whole of the Fellowhip would go for food and rest and then continue to Mordor, but then, which way was Gandalf planning on getting them into Mordor?
I severly doubt he would have led them through the Pass of Cirith Ungol, because he seemed extremely shocked at the idea when Faramir said that Frodo and Sam had gone that way.
And I also doubt he would have tried to get in through the black gate, because that is obviously impossible.
I think that they would either climb over the mountains of shadow, because I think that would be possible, because in the fellowship of the ring they would have made it across Charadas, if it werent for the snow. And there wouldn't be Snow on the borders of Mordor.
I suppose they could have got horses and gone around, but that is very unlikely.
And even if they did find a way to make it in, they wouldn't be able to make it across Gorgoroth with all of the orcs there.
And EVEN if they managed that, when they got out, Rohan would have been taken over, and so would Gondor...in fact, the whole of middle earth would have been cast into shadow.
Sauron would have been defeated, but there would always be Saruman...
This could go on for a long time so I'm gonna stop
(I haven't checked this post so exuse the spelling and grammer)
