This is the new game from EA Games, has anyone else bought it? I really enjoy playing it. Instead of the War of the Ring, thats more based pure on the books, this one is based pure on the movies, which are what got me into the books and LOTR in its self, so I like how its different. Some neat little details I also like are the choices of army, the good sides have the fort like buildings, with walls to place men on, and the gate to open and close, it just makes you feel like gandalf cruising on the fort calling orders out. The sounds are real, and the graphics are great. The evil forces are great, mordor allowes you to use the catapolts, siege towers, everything, Isengard the bomb like thing used in the two towers, and the heros are good to, with the voices done by the film actors. I rate it a 9/10 on my computer, since I need a better graphics card I think to enjoy it way better.

How does Lord of the Rings fit the realm of science fiction? Fantasy and magic perhaps, it certainly has nothing to do with science fiction.

Perhaps it's not Science Fiction, but I'd say the majority of SF fans have enjoyed it, and there is vast overlap between SF fandom and LOTR fandom.
If you divide all literature into mundane and not-mundane, SF and LOTR are in the same half.
