In the episodes of the last series - Army of Ghost and Doomsday Cybermen came through to our dimension. The reason they got sucked back in the void was because they have background radiation.
But what happened about the newly upgraded Cybermen. They would haven't of had background radiation so they won't get sucked into the void. Meaning they were still be on Earth fighting and upgrading. From what was saw all Daleks and Cybermen got sucked in. Any explanations?

We could assume the new ones were tracked down and destroyed, after the other Cybermen and the Daleks were sucked into the void. Or, the Cybermen could've brought over materials from their universe, and that the new cybermen made with those materials got sucked in. Note, these two theories are not mutually exclusive and both could apply. Just my tuppence, that's all.

Or because of the loss of the Cyber leader they may have got distorted and blew themselves up. I don't think they would of brought materials along with them as all the materials they need is on Earth.

They may not have the same stuff available to them.

Interesting points.
I didn't realize until I read this that, if Dalek Sec could have survived that calamity, so then could have a few Cybermen that were upgraded on Rose's Earth. Nice; the Cybermen could be a lingering threat and return at some point. Loopholes are fun, huh?

Also the leader of Torchwood got upgraded in that episode and she had a personality.
How can she have a personality, they get wiped. This was the point where she said "I'll die for Queen or country" or similar on the stairs. Apparantly she had a tear of oil too lol.

If all the upgrades got rushed then perhaps they all exploded when they realised what they had become.

That's probably what started the factory fire in 'Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel', when the converts realised what they had become.
