Synopsis:[/u] Michael Keaton plays architect Jonathan Rivers, whose peaceful existence is shattered by the unexplained disappearance and death of his wife, Anna. He is eventually contacted by a man who claims to be receiving messages from Anna through EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon). At first skeptical, Jonathan then becomes convinced of the messages' validity and is soon obsessed with trying to contact her on his own. I've never heard of this movie, but generally like Michael Keaton movies!! This will be another one I'll add to my list to see.

I've seen this film and it was alright, nothing special. There were a few parts that were creepy. I've yet to see the sequel, White Noise 2: The Light. If it is anything like the original then I'm not too bothered in seeing it.

Unfortunately, even if the film was only mediocre, a sequel seems almost inevitable these days. *goes on search for the sequel* ... ... ... Found it. This one must have been even worse than the first one because a) I never knew it existed and b) it never got a lot (if any) PR - or at least, I have never heard anything about this film: www.imdb.com/title/tt0496436/

This is one of the many movies my brother has forced me to watch while visiting him in Florida...and as is usually the case, I was not impressed. I will say it was interesting enough that I did not fall asleep (sometimes it takes three tries to get through some of the movies he likes...)

I've long since seen this movie since my initial post in this thread a few years ago. I have to agree, it was nothing special. Once I had heard of it, I thought it looked like it was going to be pretty good, especially with Keaton as the star, but it was ultimately a very forgettable movie. As for a sequel, I say:

I thought the movie was pretty good. There were areas where they could have done better but I found the whole concept to be interesting and thought provoking. I even listened to the dead channels on the TV a lil bit but of course didn't hear anything! lol
