What does everyone think to Child's Play. I've seen this film a couple of times and really enjoy it. It's a horror film but with a bit of comedy within it too. The sequels don't really compare to the original like most cases. The film starts getting good when she discovers that the doll is alive. This was when the batteries fell out of the box and the mother starts shouting at Chuckie. Of course Chuckie reveals himself and gets really angry.

I thought the film was very suspenseful leading up to the point the mom discovers Chucky is alive. Child's Play is far superior to any of the Chucky sequels. They have gone the way of the Freddy movies, the first being suspenseful and scary while the sequels in into comedy. Case in point; The Bride and Seed of Chucky. But the original is very good. For such a silly storyline, they did a real good job with it in my opinion, and made the doll look very alive, which is a great accomplishment when you consider how old the movie is.

It's a favourite of fine. It's because it sounds so stupid doesn't it? A doll killing people, but the way they did it and made him look alive as Myke said was very good. And a good little performance from the boy who played Andy too, a favourite scene of mine when the kid is locked up, thought to bea looney, and Chucky comes visiting..
"But Doctor Roberts Chucky was here and he's going to KILL me! Don't leave me, please don't leave me..."
