I have added two films to the same thread because both of them play inside caves and are somewhat similar. I don't know if one of both of these films have been added at another section since the genre is not just horror but sci-fi as well, but I didn't see a thread for them in the sci-fi section. I am not a fan of mindless horror films, where all you get is cheap thrills with blood and gore everywhere, but a halfway intelligent horror movie is something I like to watch. Here are two of those that have been shown recently. The Descent is about a group of women who go on a caving expedition, which goes terribly wrong. When watching this film, it is important to watch the beginning of the film very carefully, because some of what happens later will be because of what happens at the beginning. www.imdb.com/title/tt0435625/--- --- --- The Cave, also a horror/sci-fi/thriller movie, is also dealing with a group of people who are climbing into an underwater cave, and encounter evil creatures. If I had to choose which of these two films I like best, I think I would choose The Cave. It makes for better viewing, I think.

I watched The Decent about a week or two ago, and I thought it was really good, and thought it was quite good in the scare department. I loved those Crawlers, and thought they did a really good job on them. I also liked how the main character seemed to dive into the depths of madness as she went deeper into the cave, so to speak. Now The Cave, it's been a year or two since I've seen that, so it's not fresh in my memory like The Decent is. What I mostly remember about The Cave is that one actor after he was infected, or whatever happened to him. Was he becoming one of those creatures? Either way, I thought he did a great job.

I haven't seen The Descent. I think I have seen The Cave, or at least I know for sure my TV was on and The Cave was on, but I'm not sure I've paid too much attention to it as I can't remember much of it. I should see it again to be sure.

I thought I had added a link to The Cave as well. Must have forgotten, here it is: www.imdb.com/title/tt0402901/And Myke... One of the brothers did slowly turn into one of 'them', but didn't survive for us to see what would have become of him in the end. However, 3 people left the cave alive, the brother of the one who turned, the black guy and one of the women. And the woman it was who, in the end of the film, spoke to the guy, saying: They might want to leave the cave, or soemthng like that, and you could see her eyes when she looked at him over the rim of her sunglasses. And Kmylove... I have seen both films several times when they were shown on SKY. They are definitely worth watching (again).
