I see no one has yet mentioned the Hellraiser films. Has anyone watched them? Hellraiser is a 1987 British horror film, exploring the themes of sadomasochism - so it says in Wikipedia. Hellraiser opens with Frank Cotton purchasing an antique puzzle box. Rumored to be the gateway to a realm of unimaginable sensual pleasure, this box also requires the surrender of one's soul. Once Frank solves the puzzle box, he enters another dimension populated by Cenobites, sadistic demons clad in black leather. Hooks fly out of the puzzle box, tearing into Frank's flesh and rending him. Frank is condemned to an eternity in this other dimension, experiencing simultaneous pleasure and torture. Frank's brother Larry moves into Frank's abandoned house with his second wife, Julia, who previously had an affair with Frank... At first I was reluctant to watch the film, but found that it wasn't as gory (although it is pretty nasty at times) as some other films I can mention (Saw). In fact, the storyline wasn't bad either. I don't know how many Hellraiser films there are, I believe there are 5 in all.

There's a quite a few films, but as with most horror films from the 70's, 80's that had a lot of sequels, the quality goes down with each new movie.
I first saw Hellraiser as a kid, it was disturbed me a little. [spioler]Not so much the gory scenes, but the fact that he needed to kill people to grow his body back, lol[/quote].
As with Freddy and Jason, etc. like all other kids in the 80's I loved Pinhead, and the Hellraiser movies. I have not seen the newest one, and to be honest I don't really care to.
I think the last one I saw was with Pinhead and co. on a spaceship.
