Although it's a bit dated now, I still love this movie, more so when I was younger for obvious reasons if you have seen it.
I thought the ending was a real let down tho'. I won't go into detail as I'm not too sure if the spoiler tags are operational again.
Have any of you guys seen it? If not, I'd definitely recommend it.

I love this film, but I completely agree about the ending. Superb first half with the kids and Pennywise, basic psychology stuff - but great. The bit returning as adult is fun as they come back, but as soon as they go to face IT for the last time, things rather go down hill.
Mainly I love this because of Tim Curry though. The first time the thing happened with Georgie and the photograph, I wigged out!

The old fairground tunes that used to come on whenever Pennywise was in the vicinity. It also had some strangely comical elements to it too, such as quotes like"beep beep Richie", which combined with Richie's reaction afterwards was quite comical. But who can forget the blood curdling screams coming from the sewers, and blood emerging from the plug hole, lol, that's what I remember most.

Yeah, they always used the "Beep Beep Ritchie" as a way of telling him to shut up and stop being so loud and annoying! It was always funny when the others said it to him though. Even funnier when Pennywise used it because it was used in such an opposite way.
Speaking of IT, another favourite moment of mine is just after adult Bev thinks she's gone back in her old house. When "gets out" and Pennywise just points at her, he lets out this horrible belly laugh that's really disturbing!
I also like after the aftermath of the hand coming out the photo album, when bill calls on the others for help. Great emotional moment from Jonathan Brandis. (R.I.P)

It's such a shame about Jonathan Brandis (And John Ritter). Although I saw Brandis in Seaquest (Both versions), he'll still always be Stutterin' Bill Denbrough to me.

Ah well.. ..like your siggy: as long as we remember them, the deceased aren't really dead. (missed my only chance to ever see Don S. Davis, last year!!)
..maybe I should consider seeing "IT". With lots of friends. During the day. I'm really terrified of clowns! I've always had that, not since that book! (I did read part of the book)

Oh do see it, it's definitely worth seeing! It might not help your fear of clowns though, in fact it might just make it worse.. XD

I know, even the still images of Pennywise creep me out.. ..but, being a horror fan, how can I live with the idea of dying without ever having seen this horror classic EDIT: ok I just watched some Pennywise scenes on youtube (it was an edit of most of the scary scenes) and.. ..I'm freaked out of my SKIN!! ..but if those were the scariest ones, I think I can handle the rest of the movie.. It's mostly the concept of the clown that freaks me out, not the fact that he eats kids XD (and Jonathan Brandis is in it!)

I have read the book and seen the movie and liked them both. But there is NO way on earth that they could use the ending from the book. If you have read it then you know what I mean.
On another note. I was preganent when I saw it for the first time and it wigged me out big time..lol
