www.youtube.com/watch?v=InBuAEJ3V3QTrailer ^^^^ I'm excited about this. I'm excited by the fact we're finally getting into the post apocalyptic half of the Terminator story, the part we have been teased with small scenes here and there through-out the series. I also think I will like the change from the same old formula of terminators traveling back to kill John Conner, etc. I am also excited that Christian Bale is playing an adult John Conner. Christian Bale is simply an awesome actor any way you look at it. And I'm not disappointed that there's not going to be any Arnold. While he was a staple of the Terminator franchise, he isn't needed for this part of the story. What do you guys think?

I can't say I'm a Terminator fan, I've only watched the third movie. But I'm looking forward to this one for one reason: Christian Bale. Just look what he did to the Batman franchise

I'm looking forward to it. Everyone hates on the third film "just because it was a blockbuster/had the blockbuster feel or because T2 was a "Blockbuster", but even T2 had bad points that not all fan-boys will acknowledge.
I'm sure Bale will do a great job, though I was pleased with Stahl in 3, because he looked like he could be the spawn of Reese. I appreciate they have gone forward in time so have got another actor, though I maybe wonder if it wasn't worth getting an unknown? I hoping for a LOT more apocalyptic now!

I've always been a fan of the Terminator series, and I will undoubtedly be going to see this.
I'm glad Bale is in it too. He was brilliant in Batman Begins.

I've been a Terminator fan for a long time, and this looks interesting enough to go see. As far a Bale, I'm pretty neutral with his playing the older Connor. I don't love, don't hate him. We'll see.

If there is to be 'good' Terminator my vote is for 'The Rock' he is not a bad actor and he has the physique to fit the part.

Unknown there might be good. The original idea for the Terminator was he could pass as anyone, which is why Lance Hendrickson (Who appeared as one of the police detectives, also Bishop in Aliens) was almost going to play the role. But of course, Arnie was the up-n-coming big name. Saying that though Robert Patrick and Kristanna Loken did well as different types of Terminator.

If there is to be 'good' Terminator my vote is for 'The Rock' he is not a bad actor and he has the physique to fit the part. I'm not sure if there is going to be a 'good' terminator. Remember, the new movies are set post-judgment day, meaning no more Terminators traveling to the past to eliminate John Conner. There will be a whole new formula for the new films. I read somewhere that the Terminators in this film will be like the one's Kyle Reese described in the first film. He said the first human looking Terminators had skin made of rubber, and were easy to spot (before the realistic Schwarzenegger ones). Since this is going to be the beginning of a post-Judgment Day trilogy, I imagine we will see the primitive ones, or so I read somewhere.

I think I'd rather it continue post Judement Day to see what happens rather than go back. I don't think it needs to go back yet, still plenty of story there, so I hope it doesn't go into prequels.

I think it will be interesting to see the interaction between John Conner and Kyle Reese. I'm hoping they show how the Humans captured a Terminator, reprogrammed it, and sent it back in time as well. Also, I'm really looking forward to seeing them defeat SkyNet.

The trailer didn't show much though, and didn't really inspire me unfortunately. It looked more like a futuristic war film than a terminator film, so I hope the movie makes up for the very shoddy trailer.
The other one that came out was better, but with the big giant harvest type machine at the end, made me think - er... this is a Terminator film, not Transformers!

I am looking forward to this film. I have liked all of the previous movies to one degree or another and I am sure this one will be decent if not great.
