I must admit, the first time I saw the Matrix trilogy, I thought it was too "epic"; you know how blockbuster trilogies are all epic, so when I got to Revolutions I just sat back and said "yeah yeah so anti-climactic blah blah blah" I must admit I was pretty closed minded the first time I watched them. I went out and bought a copy of Matrix 1 (I had reloaded and revolutions on dvd but not Matrix 1) and watched it, and I wanted to watch part 2 and 3, and face them with a more open mind. I guess it wasn't just because I was young I didn't like the second and third installements, I just wasn't open minded enough

Yeah, an open mind really helps when watching these movies. Each time I see them, I move to another level: the first time I saw them I enjoyed them as action movies, the second time I moved towards the epic-ness of the story, the third time - the philosophy. The more I read on them and the more I try to understand things, the more things I discover when I watch them again Like you said, you have everything in front of your eyes, you just don't realize it.

Yeah, so true. Like I said, when I first saw them I was young and just wanted to see the action, the second time I watched for the philosophy. Worked much better the second time. ;D
