They were probably sailing on the other side of the main island and didn't see the "work" island.
I dunno.. I kinda like how it's mysterious.. it makes me think.

Yes, well... it's still interesting, but it seems to me that the writers don't know themselves how each episode continues and are making the plot up as they go along. Very much like patchwork.

I dunno, I think it flows pretty well...
I'm sure a few of the writers know what's going on at least a few episodes in advance.
And with characters in different locations... they have to jump around to show us what's going on in the different areas.
Though, thinking about it... even though a couple questions were answered... there are some things I'd like to know more about, but I'm patient, lol.
Like I want to find all the rest of the hatches...

I only watched the first three episodes. A lot of people I know really like it but I could never get into the series. I'm glad too. So many unanswered questions. Third series already, there's rumored to be more seires being created.

This is a classic example of a popular TV series being stretched out and thinned into more series than was originally planned, to get extra revenue out of it. So far, the difference in the first two series (concise, perfectly paced) and the third (lots of loose ends untied and a lot of plodding) is vast. But eventually there'll come a time when things will eventually be answered - probably in some abstract way - but we may have to wait a while for that yet.
I just hope they don't reveal every little detail in the end so as completely end all the theories and ideas as to what's going on. I love being about to think about what I've just seen and formulate my own ideas about it rather than being spoon fed all the answers.

Oh, I agree. That's why I love LOST. You have to think and figure things out while you watch it. It's not your everyday run of the mill boring TV drama.
And really, I don't think this current season/series is all that bad. I think the only reason it lagged was because they split it in half, making us wait months for new episodes.

Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed every single Lost series so far. It's just that you can tell the script writers have stretched the plot a little thinner over more episodes. Plus there are a few other sub-plots that have developed to keep interest as the whole thing is stretched out.
That fact that there was a gap halfway through doesn't help, of course, as you rightly said.

I kind of get what you're saying. And I suppose last week's episode was an example. It seemed to be a filler episode with no big revelations. Oh well. I suppose we can't have big suspenseful episodes full of surprises every week.

Well with these "filler" episodes, we learn to appreciate the thrilling episodes more, and they'll lull us into a false sense of security. It's hard to keep up that pace of plot progression over many series. I'm sure that this series is here for us to catch our breath before we plunge back into full-throttle Lost soon enough.

Yeah.
This week's looks pretty exciting: big cat fight between Kate and Juliette... Looks like Kate might finally find out why Jack didn't want her to come back... that he saw her and Sawyer on the camera.

Meh, it wasn't as exciting as they made it out to be, lol...
Where have the Others gone? With John with them?
Did they leave Juliette behind because she did something wrong? Or to be with Jack? Or maybe to be a spy?
