Has this movie been talked about at all here? I couldn't find it anywhere, of which I'm surprised. Anyone beside me seen this or even heard of it? www.imdb.com/title/tt0091059/It's a few decades old, but still good. Don't let the plot fool you though, anyone at any age can watch and enjoy this film.

This was another film I really enjoyed as a kid, and if i saw it now at 31 i'd still enjoy it very much.
It's just got that feel good feel all through it, except - and this is not often Disney do this, it doesn't go OTT on sentimentality and has it's sad bits too like the main character coming to terms with his situation, his family's aging, a different world etc.
One of my favourite scenes is when he's flying the saucer to the tune of - i think it was Surfin' USA?

I vaguely remember this movie. I haven't seen it since I was a kid, but I remember I really liked it. All I really remember is the alien eye thing doing the Pee Wee Herman laugh, then flying into the ocean, and at the end due to some time displacement the kid was gone for 3 years or something, while it was only a day or so from his point of view.
That time thing at the end really intrigued me, and helped me get into science fiction as a whole.

Bones, I think that was it! I liked the scene where they made a stop at this run-down gas station to make a phone call. The guy just stood there staring at the spaceship the whole time. As I recall, there was a family there as well lol.
Myke, it was 8 years. I really need to see it again somehow, can probably get it for $5, *if* you can find it.

I've seen it a few times. I enjoyed it every time.
