I recommend it. It's very interesting and kinda sad.

Have any of you seen "The Portrait of Dorian Grey"? It was made in the 40's I think. It's not exactly sci-fi, but I think it still applies here. I loved this movie. It was quite interesting. I saw it but can´t remember much of it.

Yes I've heard of the film, Ember, but haven't seen it. Is it on DVD?

I doubt it. It's really old and I'm not sure how popular it is. My mom got it off of Ebay and hers is VHS.

2001 A Space Odyssey - need I say more.
Uh, and I really liked Carpenter's Dark Star. Dead Commander stored in deep freeze (where he is still able to offer advice), runaway alien which resembles a beach ball, 'smart bomb' who thinks it's a God. Hilarious movie! ;D

Lost In space isnt really a 'classic' persay, like an older movie that has become a classic over time, but I do have to agree that it is a good movie. I really enjoyed the film, and have been waiting on a sequel for a long time now, but it looks like I'll have to keep on waiting.

Kirk Douglas in 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. A slight change in topic imagine all the late great actors were to be the crew of the Enterprise. Burt Lancaster as the Kirk, Yul Brynner as Mr. Spock. Gregory Peck as Dr Mcoy, Charlton Heston as Scotty. Telly Savalas as a Klingon captain.

OK mine is a black and white oldie from1954 called 'Them!' about Giant Ants that terrorise a dessert town....naff special effects but a darn good movie just the same I also liked the 90s movie called JUDGE DREDD with Sly Stallone in... a very good adaptation of the comic character....

My favorite classic sci fi are the old Flash Gordon serials....and I'm not THAT old! I got to see them weekly at college as the cafeteria showed them on Wednesday during the noon lunch hour.
