I couldn't find a topic in the 9 pages back.
I only saw this - this week, when the original trailer came out i thought it looked very interesting and wanted to see it; but i don't think i could afford it. All these years I've been meaning to see it, and at last i have!
The story was pretty good, ocassionally it was a little lack luster, but the characters were very good (I was surprised by the big names that lent their voices), and the animation was amazing. The blend of 2D and 3D was awesome, especially when there's something like this fight in a nebula full of crystaline structures that are breaking uo as our heroes are getting chased, that whole scene was breath-taking visually.
Another thing i really liked was the look of the aliens, as they were quite different and unique to most you see. They looked like static electricity, but they were very cool!
The one thing i can't not mention is my love for a singular character from the outset - and that's Gune, the turtle like professer/scientist. He was comic relief, but i love his character as he's got such a personality!
So, Titan AE anyone?

I saw this film about five years ago and I thought it was very good. I don't usually like animation films but this is unlike others. This film reminds me kind of Battlestar Galactica and the Cylons. The Drej were a great enemy in this film. Good luck New Earth (Planet Bob)

We have this movie on video, my kids loved it when we saw it at the cinema so as soon as it came out we bought it, I think we really need to see if we can get it on DVD as our copy is well watched lol... I enjoy watching this movie, I agree with Bones in that it does get a bit thin in places but over all the story is entertaining and the animation quality is marvelous, a thoroughly enjoyable movie

I like how the human race were the underdogs as well, especially when we cut back to the main character when he's all grown up. Pretty good soundtrack too.
