Oke my dad came home only last week and he brought a whole stash of DVDs, including 28 days later. I only got around to watching it last night, and it fucking rocks!!! It's a bit sick though especially the black guy... ergh. I love the bit when Jim gets attatcked in the house, and Mark gets cut... "Mark?" "Selena... Wait!" BANG!Chopped up... sick but cool I also love the back soldier in the room "hey don't let me I got no bullets!" Overall a fantastic movie.

This movie roawwwked. I can't believe I waited until it got to rental. It had all sorts of angles to it and the multiple endings on DVD were very good. The way it started was sensational with the absolute lonelyness of one character ... it was easy to put yourself in his shoes.

I loved this movie. I really think it is one of the best 'zombie' movies ever. I also thought it was real spooky.
I liked how they went through different stages of the movie, first being in the cirty, then them meeting up, traveling out into the country, then finding the soldiers who were supposed to protect the, Then the solders were asshole and were going to rape them so now they were fighting both the Zombies and the soldiers.
Yes, many different levels to the storyline, and very, very creepy.
Very good movie in my opinon, I think it was highley underated.

It was great at the beginning but it got a little long at the house though.

Wierd flick, but there are worse ones out there. * Puts on glasses and walks around enclosed spaces * Now to start...
The movie was kinda creepy, but still not bad. The fact that the military personnel had their own agenda wasn't really surprising, as these movies seem to have many, many survivors of whatever disaster that has befallen them surviving over those that might regret backstabbing someone.
Three points got my attention though: (1) The horses: They didn't seem affected. It could be that this disease/virus/thing only affected humans; not really original, but it worked for the movie. If anything, they might have been carriers, which leads into... (2) The bird: Towards the end, when they finally reach the apparently abandoned site, the girl's father gets turned by the stuff hitting his eye. * Checks glasses and makes sure to not look up too often * If the animals are the carriers, then there would be no real way to contain the contagion. (3) So the guy that Mark and Selena find from the hospital was a bike courier right? how could he have done what he did, and managed to outmaneuver military trained personnel as well as he did? Desperate or not, he would have been badly out-matched, and if it wasn't in the script, I really doubt he would have been able to pull off what he did.
* Disengages brain to stop from thinking too much * Sorry about that. I know it's just a movie, but sometimes I over-examine things.
Overall all, the movie wouldn't be among my first choice of things to watch, but if nothing better was on, then it would be up there.

[quote author=Nightcrawler link=board=scifimovies&thread=1097926704&start=7#0 From your description, Nightcrawler, this sounds like something from "The Stand" - a GREAT book by Steven King, where 99% of the world population is getting killed by a virus and only some humans and the animals aren´t affected.

if I remember right....there was a body...or at least a body part ip where the bird was standing....and the guy was yelling at the bird....and he threw something at it or something like that...but anyways what fell in his eye was blood from an infected body part. Also...to become infected you had to have gotten the blood into your body via something that would absorb it....like a wound...an eye...a mouth...something like that....so the horses wouldn't be infected unless something tried to eat them.

I thought it was sad though how the dad died. That frelling bat in the roof!! Had to drop blood in his eye...

Loved the movie and especially the part where they guy went nuts. I think he was able to outsmart the military guys because the military men had become too complacent with their superiority and defense system. I'd say this ranks up there with the best zombie movies.

Certainly no a bad movie, but it still suffers from 'End of the World' Disease; unlike other movies though, it doesn't suffer as badly as others have, and actually manage to overcome the debility to a certain point.

One of the more skanky films I have seen recently (especially when Jim goes mad near the end and stuffs his thumbs in the dudes eyes *shudders* that bit really is gross) but it was fairly enjoyable. Iv watched it more than once which says something I guess...
It also has my favourite line of any film in it at the bit where they have the taxi and theyr about to go under the bridge, and its one of those things when you watch a film you know is a really stupid thing to do and will result in someone dieing, and for once, someone realises it and Jim says, "This is a really s**t idea. Do you know why? Because its really obviously a s**t idea." Hehe, sorry, but it really did crack me up.
That and the fact that Jim is kinda cute in a strange way that I really couldn't explain if I had a billion zillion years, but it might have something to do with the way hes all protective of the girls and goes half mad just to save them.

Yeah that bit is good "this is a really sh**t idea!" And I love "take this valium, and it'll not only put us to sleep, but if we get killed in the night, we won't care!" A great movie.
