The only thing about the movie I didnt like is how it changed formats half way through. When they were in the city and country, it was a great film, but then it started to drag when they were with the soldiers. But it was a good movie still, and its sad that it never got the attention it deserved though. What!! The soldiers part was the best! The duel with Mailer and the boys was awsome!! ;D

I saw this movie, and I'm wondering....was there any reason why the film was named "28 days later"? Apart from the fact that they were rescued 28 days later...I mean, was there a point to it? Was there some meaning behind it? Because the way I saw it, the movie could have been given the title "6 days later" or "48 days later" and it would've all been the same. Can anyone explain the importance of the title to me?

Can anyone explain the importance of the title to me? It's the same kind of title as "The Day After Tomorrow". I think in this day and age with all of the movies there are in the world, people are trying to come up with more orginal titles for movies.

28 days is about the maximum length of time the human body can go without food or water before it ceases to survive.
Remember in the movie, it is pointed out that the zombies were not eating or drinking water, thus it would take about 28 days for the virus to die out, as long as no new people were infected.

Yep....and if you look at when they were being rescued you could see zombies dying along the sides of the road and stuff....

Also, I believe if you actually watch it carefully, twice it shows that time has moved on by 28 days... firstly after the monkeys are released, it then says 28 days later. Then... once at the end after the bit with the soldiers, it goes forward another 28 days to where all the zombies are laying dieing of starvation.

I saw this once, a couple years ago.. and I liked it. It was a lot different than most movies in this genre and keeps you guessing for part of the time.
And I believe this year or next, the sequel, 28 Weeks Later, comes out.

Ah, yes, I thought the list I was looking at said this year.
I am, too.
My roommate and I our junior year of college saw it as a fluke. We were bored and borrowed it from a friend, lol. We didn't know anything about, and it was good.
I'm interested to see what happens in the sequel.
