I am assuming this is sci-fi since it seems similar to the 28 Days films... Anyway, this film intrigues me. At first I thought it was just weird when I saw a trailer, but the more I see ads for it and find out about, the more I want to see it. iamlegend.warnerbros.com/

Yeah, he did.. it was "I am Omega" or something like that...
I think the general plot is that Will Smith is a scientist and then something happens that kills off everyone on the planet except him. Until he realizes that there are mutants of some virus he was working on going around killing people... like zombies or vampires or something.
I haven't seen it yet, but I think it's similar to 28 Days Later, in a way.

I purchased the Movie and I loved it. I generaly most of Will Smith's movies, esp his Sci-Fi ones. He plays a world class imunologist who works in the NY area, where the first mutant out break happens. Its very moving the way things unfold.. He does everything by schedual at first and then things get a lil hairy.
I won't spoil it for you.. but its a good movie. I have rewatched it many times.

I dunno it was okay, very depressing. The only thing is, with a film where the main character dominates the film or is pretty much just one main character on his own for the whole entire movie, well i think you have to be a really strong actor to pull that off. And as good as Will is, I just don't think he had enough to pull it off.
I dunno, I've only seen it once, maybe I need to watch it again.

I hated it. Hated. It was just so.... boring. For me, it was one of those movies that could have been so much more. And the ending SUCKED. I mean, seriously. The fact that Will Smith practically pounds that woman's head in with the fact that EVERYBODY is dead and then it turns out that there are survivors, that was annoying. For the first time ever, I thought there was going to be a movie where there is NO hope left, that everything is screwed. As for it being more than it could be, it was just so boring. The whole thing of him going mad and talking to mannequins was just so typical, I mean, as if we didn't see that coming. And when he had to kill his dog, that was so not moving. And what the hell was the point of the constant Bob marely references? What was the deal with that? Ok, singing "three little birds" was ok, because it was about "dont worry, every little thing will be alright". But then the line "the people trying to make the world a bad place aren't taking a break, how can i" sure, that was a cool line, but seriously, totally pointless. In this case, the people trying to make the world a bad place are freakin' zombies. Poor movie. I actually can't believe it's considered a career highlight for Will Smith. This is his worst movie (not saying much - he's only ever done 1 other bad one - wild wild west - but this takes the cake).

I think the reason its shows so much of Will by himself is to emphasize the loneliness. I understand why he cried when he had to kill his infected dog. That was a link to his daughter who was killed along with his wife by a chopper accident when they were trying to escape from NY. I suppose to understand and appreciate some of the asspects of this movie you have to have some grounds to compare it to. Life experiences of a like nature for one. I can sympathize with the dog dieing. He had to do something hard. I hand raised a puppy and had to get rid of him because he didn't like my new baby taking his place. Of course I choose my daughter over him but it still hurt to get rid of him. I agree the ending was sad, I didn't want him to die but the poignancy of it was not lost on me. All in all everyone is entitled to their own opinions and I respect them while standing with my own
