I choose: The Search For Spock. I love all those movies - except Nemisis, didn´t like it much but for some reason "The Search For Spock" just got to me. It was such a sad film - what with Kirk´s son getting killed and I liked the female Vulcan who was down on the planet with him. It was all so heart-wrenching.

WOK made me cry when Spock died originally. I was only like 7 years old, but Spock was my favorite character and when he died, I was sad.
I had very little understanding of sequals at that point in my life so my parents just let me cry and then laughed when I was happy they going back for him in part 3

I vote for First Contact. It's smy favorite, though not by a whole lot. I love it cus of the fact that it's the TNG cast - and that happens to be my favorite series of all time. ;D
Also the whole storyline with Picard and the Borg, but what I didn't like was Data and the Borg queen - "together" - it's just... yuck.

Wrath of kahn all the way. It set the bar for trek movies. I do agree with that! And I feel WOK brought the franchise back to life, and allowed for all future Trek to be created!

Well to be fair, the Motion Picture was originally supposed to be a pilot for Star Trek: Phase 2, but then it kinda got morphed into a movie because so much went into it and Roddenberry didn't want the franchise to fail on TV again.
WOK was originally supposed to be called Revenge of Khan, but at the time, Star Wars Return of the Jedi was going to be called Revenge of the Jedi, so Roddenberry came up with Wrath of Khan so that his friend Lucas could use Revenge of the Jedi(which then got changed to Return of the Jedi) so no one used the Revenge in the title.
Also the main reason Spock died, was because Nimoy did not want to return to work with "that egocentrical bastard Bill", so they killed Spock off. It took the persuasion of allowing Nimoy to direct 2 movies(including SFP, and TVH) to make him agree to work "with the arrogant bastard". And those two quotes are from William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy as well.
So regardless of how well WOK did at the box office, Roddenberry had envisioned a few movies and if they were popular enough, he would spin off into TV again, which he did with TNG, and he actually wanted Nimoy, Shatner to be in the pilot of TNG, but only McCoy would agree to do it.

I don't know why but when I think about Star Trek films, the first one that comes to my mind is Voyage Home. I don't know, it probably has something to do with the whales.

It was also hilarious!! That's the first Star Trek movies I ever saw. I saw it when I was young and before I was a Trekkie, and I didn't care for it much. It was only later after I fell in love with Star Trek that I went back and watched it, and decided it was a great movie, and it really is!

I like all star trek movies, especially the old ones, with Kirk, Spock...I`ve chosen The Search for Spock. By the way are there any Ferengi avatars here?
