... Robots in Disguise. Well, there is a pic of one of the transformers so I thought I will start a thread for them. Again, I used to watch them because my son loved them. I also bought him those toys and was quite impressed how a car can change into a fighting machine, tooting gun and all - and vice versa, of course. LOL Optimus Prime was the leader of the Autobots and the best fighter of them all. ;D

it's good to see a thread about the transformers....I was going to start one anyway.....but..Valderra....WHERE do u see a pic of one of the Transformers? unless I am totally missing it I havent seen it... ;D
anyways....I love the original series....I would love to get them all on dvd at one point but the dvd's are not cheap and would cost me a few hundred bucks at least to get the entire collection......so for now it's just a wish...but eventual'y I will get them. I remember when the transformers movie came out....I LOVED IT!!! Optimus Prime dies.....Megatron becomes galvatron....you meet Unicron the planet sized transofrmer....Starscream dies (and becomes a ghost in the post movie series) Hot Rod-a young hot headed impetuous transformer becomes Rodimus Prime the new leader of the autobots....you meet the Quintessons....the creators of the transformers who want to kill them all....you see several of the original transformers die....you get introduced to new ones....the movie had everything.....and then I loved the series afterwards.....i thought it had some of the best scripts ever done. Rodimus Prime was definitely one of my favorite characters. and all the star voice actors they had for the movie? Eric Idle, Casey Kasem, Robert stack, Scatman Crothers, Judd nelson, Leonard Nimoy, Orson Wells....so amazing they brough all that voice talent in for one animated movie....shows how popular the series was at the time. GREAT SHOW!!!

Ah, yes... Transformers. Good cartoon, even if the third season threw me off (only because I never watched the movie in theaters and only got a copy within the last three or so years). Generation One Favorite character: Autobots, probably Rodimus Prime: one of my biggest gripes is the fact that Optimus was, to me, too "perfect". Never seemed to make the wrong decision, always knew what to do... that always annoyed the fire outta me (never mind how I still think his sacrifical death in the movie was belittled by bringing him back in the cartoon the way they did). Punch/Counterpunch (the Autobot secret agent with the Decepticon robot and car altmodes) is a close second, even though he only showed up for about 15 seconds on "Rebirth, Part I". For the Decepticons... Megatron/Galvatron (up until the end of the movie... I hated that third season insanity), Cyclonus and Scourge are all tied for that top spot... intriguing how they're all Unicronian, no? Favorite Episode: the movie (of course), "More than Meets the Eye" (the pilot episode). Beast Wars Favorite character: Maximals... Optimus Primal was interesting, in that he wasn't the perfect leader that his ancestor Optimus Prime was, and had to learn by trial and error how to lead... even after going Optimal by temporarily taking in the Autobot leader's "spark", he still made mistakes. I thought that was kinda cool. Dinobot and Rhinox were close seconds. For the Predacons... Blackarachnia (when she was a Predacon before the doofus dimwit Maximal known in most circles as Silverbolt corrupted her to the Maximals) and Tarantulas... again, intriguing that I picked a possible Unicronian, no (since there is debate over whether BW Megatron was being serious or sarcastic when he called Tarantulas a spawn of Unicron). Favorite Episode: Without a doubt, "Code of Hero". Dinobot dies, but by Primus, he lays down the smack on the majority of the Predacons before he finally does bite the dust. That is a true meaning of sacrifice... and, given how differently Dinobot II (the Transmetal 2 Dinobot that, in the series, was also the means by which Cheetor also became a Transmetal 2) was portrayed and done, I find it interesting that I don't consider it a belittling of the sacrifice (mostly because BW Megatron was using Dinobot II as a pawn in his own little game... although 'Dark Glass', had they actually made the episode, would possibly have made me have a different opinion, since in that unaired episode, Rattrap used Dinobot's stored memories from the Axalon computers to try and bring back ol' Chopperface and bring Dinobot II into the Maximal fold). And Valderra... don't feel bad. Hasbro ripped off the Veritech fighter/mecha from Robotech to make it into the toy Jetfire.
