Over hear it's been raining quite a bit. Right now it's raining outside my house but last night it was showering so heavily you could hear it!
Personally I wish all summer could be like that.

Aye. I like bad weather, I just don't like to see people suffer as a result of it.

Yeah, a part of Texas has had major flooding, as well.. a whole town (or more), mostly mobile homes, was destroyed.
And now there's at least 200 homes destroyed from fires near Lake Tahoe. Hopefully they'll get some rain.

Well, over here it's sunny outside. It's been raining quite a bit over at my end, oh well, gives me a good excuse not to mow the lawn.

Over the last week or so, the weather here has been mental![/b]
Every day the weather has fluctuated between searing sunshine with cloudless skies and torrential thunderstorms of the like I've never seen before. The skies change colour from bright blue to grey in a matter of minutes, literally. We can have a couple of inches of rain gushing down the street and then within a half an hour the flood has dried completely.

I second that - although I don't mind sitting outside in the garden for a bid, reading my book when it's just warm (but not too hot). Well, I think we can forget about Summer as we know it. I tried today to sit a bit outside, since there was more sun than clouds (for a change), but the air itself was so cold, that it felt like April, not July. So I went back inside. LOL It's even got so chilly over the last couple of weeks that at times I had to turn on the central heating, just to warm up the place a little in the evening and first thing in the morning. Now that I never had to do before in July. I rather prefer the cooler weather, not because of the heat during the day, but during the night, when I can't sleep because of it. Also, as you all know, I am a 'bad weather' girl.

You know, when I'm far older than I am now, I'd like to retire to some cold place, like Canada, or failing that, Northern Scotland. I'd really hate to go somewhere like Spain, Southern USA or the Australian outback, as those places are just too warm for my liking. Roll on winter!

LOL That's what I always think of, to retire to Scotland, where snow comes early, and it gets really cold there. I wouldn't like to live somewhere in eternal sunshine either.

This afternoon, boy it was sweltering! I had to take my top off 5 times, I was sweating like mad! Plus, that conservatory doesn't help, it's like a heater that thing!

We had our hottest day of the summer so far earlier this week, lol. It was 95 F.
But thankfully it's gonna cool off tomorrow.
Doc, you wouldn't like my state, then. It does get pretty cool in the winter, but we do actually have summer. Same with Canada, as it's pretty close. You'd have to go far up in Canada near the Arctic to get away from real summers.

We did have a mini heatwave sometimes in the afternoon. LOL But today it's just as stormy, cloudy, and cold as if it was November. *runs off to turn the heating on*
