We used to have Karma back soon after the release of version 4, but disabled it for a few reasons, one being it didn't fit to well with the custom mini-profiles at the time.
Would you guys be interested in karma returning?

It might be interesting to have it back, as long as it doesn't get abused. Might be worth giving it a test shot.

No. It might get abused and for the same reasons they don't use it on PS Support I have to disagree to reintroducing the Karma system. Plus, what's the point of it?

I agree, I've never really seen the point of Karma; surely it's an unnecessary feature. I'm not bothered about people so-called abusing the system 'cos it's just meant to be a bit of fun (isn't it?), but to me it's just not worth the effort in the first place.

I wouldn't like karma being reintroduced. I don't really see the point of it. It doesn't really benefit anybody. I don't believe it can be abused so that's not part of my reason for not liking karma.

I don't mind either way. Yes, it can be abused, but I don't really see it happening here... with our lovely members. It can be fun, if used for fun, not for a popularity contest. But I generally don't pay attention to the karma anyway, lol.

No I personally wouldn't like karma on here, as the Doc has said ( amazingly enough I'm agreeing with him lol...) it could be open to abuse plus some people get really rapped up in the whole who has the most thing which can be counter productive.

Current Count: Karma 4 Against (1 Didn't Vote)3 For So far, so good. Really, I'm hoping it doesn't get introduced, just a waste of time in the end.

Well, if you really want karma, but don't want it to be abused, you can always hold contests or something... with the prize being a certain amount of karma.. or when you reach different posting ranks, you get so much karma. In addition to people randomly giving people karma, lol. Or just put up some rules: Like exalt someone if you like their post or whatever. I dunno. Like I said, it doesn't matter to me either way. I've seen it work many times; and I've seen it abused. It all depends on the forum.

You can't know it will be abusaed until you give it a try, you know. It can't hurt. If it doesn't work it can be disabled within a few clicks.

I have been on a forum where the Karma was abused and people got really worked up when their karma was removed by persons unknown for mean and spiteful reasons. I'm happy with out it but if others want to give it a go I dont mind, *shrugs*

If there are enough people want to give it a trail run, I can't complain 'cos that's democracy. But I still don't really know what the real point in it is. It doesn't really add anything to the forum in my opinion, besides the issue that people have with abusing it (which I don't really understand because Karma doesn't really mean anything in the first place).

Now, with Karma what's meant by abuse is that some people might go and continually give member X negative Karma, and if that happens only God knows where it'll lead. So, that's Karma abuse.

But why is everyone just assuming it will be abused? I doubt TR members are that awful to smite each other forever.
