I will definitely say Episode V on this one, and my reason is one of the ones Enchant just mentioned: the realistic feel. Most of the time when you watch a fantasy movie, it's done in a fantasy- type way. But Empire is done as if it's realistic and it's actually happening. Plus, the cloud city lightsaber duel was done perfectly- no music, no words, they just walk up to each other and start fighting. Cinematically speaking, I'd say it's the best of the sagas, though I'm very interested to see what Mr. Lucas has in store for ROTS...

The Empire Strikes Back because so much happens and it's quite a dark film what with Han being electrocuted and frozen. He definatley doesn't have the best time in the movie ;D Then there's the scene where Luke fights 'himself' in Degobah. Very powerful moment. Han and Leia's first smooch and some superb sarky banter between the two of them. Luke discovering that Vader's his father...just sooooo much happens and then we're left hanging for two years. Lawrene Kasdan is a genius

This was a hard one, but I went with II. I liked I and II the most, because of the graphix and more action. I have always liked light saber deules. The other day when I was watching one of the old ones, they had a light saber deul. I just started to laugh! But so far, II had the best light saber deuls. But I have a pretty good feeling that III is going to be my new favorite soon.

I would indeedy have to say it is Episode IV, A New Hope.
It's the original...and I dunno...the run on the Deathstar was fantastic. Mostly I just like the feel of more than any of the others.
And over all the Original Trilogy was fantastic. Since special effects were cruddy, they had to focus more on a good story. While the new ones might be "prettier", they just use all the lights to cover up an otherwise mediocre script...

I voted Empire Strikes Back. I hated episodes 1 and 2! Worst Star Wars movies EVER! The only thing that saved episode 1 was Darth Maul. He owned! lol

I don't know how anyone could have Phantom Menance as a favorite...It was so horrible, the only good parts of it were the Pod Race and the duel with Darth Maul. Attack of the clones was good, the fight between Obi-Wan and Jango Fett was good...my favoerite part would have to be Yoda and Dooku..I love yoda, he just kicks massive ass...The third one was good, Ep3 and Ep5 would have to be my all time favorites.

Honestly, in all of your hearts, you know Episode V was the best! Lucas did the best job there of making it not too realistic but not too fantastic and so much happened in that movie that was key to the Star Wars universe! I saw Episode 1 as merely an exposition, but it was far from a bad movie. Episode 2 was just horrible...the acting, everything...the only things that saved it were the clone battle on Geonosis and the Yoda vs. Dooku battle. Definitely gets 2nd best lightsaber duel ever. Episode 3 I just saw and if it was on the poll I would have voted for that. It was amazing. The musical score was excellent, and so were the effects. If only the acting was better...Episode 4 was, again, an expositional episode so it was okay. Lucas did an outstanding job on V and finished up with a decent conclusion in Return of the Jedi.

I loved EVERY single Star Wars, yes even Episodes I and II The only thing that was bad about them were the actors (*cough* Anakin in Episode I- I wanna strangle that little nuisance!) My favorite though, all in all, is Episode III
