Which of the SG-1 gang is your favorite? And why?

I´m a bit torn about this one... I like Jonas Quinn and hated the fact that whatshisname had to come back as Daniel Jackson and take away his part. And I thought that Hator was excellent in her seductiveness. I thoughroughly enjoyed Colonel Harry Maybourne - he always was up to no good, but in a nice sort of way. And I really liked Bra´tac he was so manly even though he was already a little older. But I guess that Lantash (Martouf) did it for me. I just liked his serene and quiet ways (and he wasn´t bad looking either). LOL Too bad they had to kill him off.

It was a toss-up between Teal'c and Bra'tac. Bra'tac proved that old saying of "Don't just a book by it's cover." with a vengeance.
But Teal'c won out. He started to get funny in Season 7, though it was understandably toned way down. It was also funny watching him and O'Neill act as each other's characters when they encountered that mind-switcher.
Good character, especially when he grew out of the stern First Prime role.

You mean: Don´t judge a book by its cover", NC. ;D And I have to say that the more time past, Teal'c just became more and more flabby. He was positively fat in a couple of episodes and completely lost his looks towards the end. I liked him more in the beginning - he was also more mysterious then.

My pick is Jack O'Neil, for obvious reasons. I just enjoy watching his character, with his silly and goofy comments, his laid back natrue, lol. Despite all of that, he is a damn good soldier, and has no problem dying for his crew if need be.
As for Teal'c, I still think he looks strange with hair these days lol.

I like Jack O´Neill as well and I liked his dry sense of humour and when he never understood what Samantha Carter was on about. But I must admit that over the seasons, it got a little repetitive, he just kept saying the same things over and over. I guess the writers ran out of new things for him to say that had wit and humour. I don´t recall seeing Teal´c with hair. Just wouldn´t look right. LOL

Jack is my pick... I've always thought Jack to be a funny guy, the character he is, is someone to look up too.

LOL See, I haven't been watching SG-1 except for a few months, so it's all new to me, although I could see how it is a bit repetitive, and yes, i is funny when he can't understand Carter. She'll give a long Trek like explination, and he will say "All so that's all we have to do" lol. And Teal'c has hair in the current season, and yes, he does look strange with it.

Yea I missed a typo; I've been taking lessons okay? Just about every other character rocked in one or more ways, but one of the last SG-1 eps was quite funny considering how things went. It was the one where Teal'c got permission to live off base, and he ended up making quite the impression with his neighbors. I liked O'Neill being sarcastic and laid back, but Teal'c is the one that has probably grown the most. He started stiff and unweilding, to actually kind of funny. I got to agree on the hair though. Too bad there's no name tag with 'Chia-Teal'c' written on it.

LOL ^
And even though I've only been watching for a few months, I too have seen alot of change in Teal'c from the early days. Stargate SG-1 reruns come on Sci Fi two times aday, so I've seen quite a few episodes actually, and it seems in the beginning he didn't talk much, but became more of an interacting character as time went on.

Do you remember from the first episode of the new season, I think it was the first, when Teal'c was talking to Thor onboard his ship, and when he ended his sentence he said "... or somthin." That last part of his sentence stunned me very much, I knew this would be a very exceptional year, but that was just "wild!"

LOL You're right, I misread it as the first episode ever, which I haven't seen. I do remember the first episode of this current season, but don't remember that, I may have been distracted, or just forgetful. But I see what you're saying.

Daniel Jackson.
I may be mistaken, but when were Jack and Sam promoted?
