I miss General Hammond too, he was a good character.
I enjoyed his guest apperence on Atlantis, when the crew thought they had returned to Earth.

I think it was like the 5th episode of Atlantis, the one right before that season finalie, or whatever it was (as I'm still convinced season 1 isn't over)
I'm unsure of the name, but will try to find it for you.

Actually Daniel was there first. Although I do wish they could have kept Jonas on somehow.
They got promoted in Season 8.
Now as for who my favorite characteris, it is a tie between Daniel and Sam. But I voted for Daniel. He was one of the reasons I started watching the show. I don't know why, but I loved his character in the movie and just have always stuck by him. However...I am really surprised no one has voted for Sam. Because she is a truely awesome character. She strong, brave, beautiful and intelligent. Plus, she can kick some major a$$.
Some other favorites are, Maybourne. I love watching him with Jack. Let's see. Martouf was a favorite of mine. Jacob, Jonas, Janet, Lt. Elliot, Thor, the Nox, I tell the you the list goes on...lol

O.o ... I see your memory is far greater than mine! Is that Stargate Legacy link to something good? LOL...I think it is only because I have been writing episode synopsis and actor/character bios. And when you talk about stargate as much as I do....it just becomes like a second nature kinda thing. And that link is to something good. At least I will say it is. It is to my proboards site. But I won't say anything more on that..because it seems there is a big rule on not advertising your site here. Legacy is all about Stargate. But yes...I say it is good, but that is only because it is my baby...lol. ;D

They're both good at one liners, but Teal'c had to learn humor. He picked it up quickly enough though. 'Mortal combat in jello' though is a strange way to phrase that...particular spectator event. I finally saw this episode tonight. Episode 3 of year 5? Sam attracts an incorporeal admirer not unlike Mother Nature. She reports him and gets blown off...apparently. Q (John DeLancey) shows up in this series. And Jack and Teal'c show up at Sam's house at the WRONG moment with pizza and a Star Wars VHS. Jack's idea of a romantic evening? Chaperone, pizza and Star Wars? Once she shoos them out, Jack asks Teal'c "What now?" and Teal'c suggests spectating at Jello Mortal Combat. Since this was kind of anti-climatic (Jack realizes Sam has some kind of hot date lined up and there's just a teensy tad of regret showing around the edges of his "I'm dumb" look) the line is a kind of throw-away. If you can't have the girl you want, why not watch people you don't care about wrestling in Jello? What color? Lime? Cherry? Grape? My guess is lime.

Yeah he's definitely funny. Most of the SG1 team are funny in their own ways. I love the interactions between the characters, the way they play off each other.

It's a lot of fun watching him acclimate to Earth and humans. Especially as he develops a sense of humor.
