That's true, but when I say thousands, I mean it looked like 10 pro baseball friends infested with nothing but aliens, the warrior aliens. Nothing could stop that, well, almost nothing.
Earlier I was wondering how the Aliens reach Earth, and it got me wondering even more. In the original movie on LV-426, when they first discover the ship with the eggs, what type of ship was that? It wasnt a human ship, that I remember, did they ever say the origins of the ship that brough the aliens to LV-426?

no..it was an alien ship for sure....the aliens were soooooo much larger than humans.....they were like giants....as far as how they got to earth i don't know....maybe they will explain it.....or it is possible the predators might have brought them..after all...i think some of the plot is supposed to be this is how they train their young predators to hunt is by having them hunt these aliens...

Ok, I didnt know humans knew about other life forms, untill they met the aliens. In Aliens, Carter Burke says something like the company has colonies on 60 some worlds, and they have encountered no indeginious life. Also I think Burke sent the colonists over to explore the ship where Riply's crew originally found the alien eggs, and Caine was infected, but still am unsure what they beleive in as far as alaien life goes outside of the Xenomorph aliens.

no...i don;t think they know of any aliens until they met these.....and the only reason they knew about these....was from a warning message that the crashed alien ship left behind....they interceoted the message and when the alien sounded good for weapons research....they awoke ripley and crew to go fetch one...

I have no idea, it wouldnt surprise me if they ignore the other movies completly, since it 'seems' to take place before 'Alien'.

I can't wait either, but I'm kind of surprised that AvP is rated PG-13, becuase I thought both Alien and Predator were R-rated franchises. Oh well...
It said PG-13 for violence, language, horror images, gore, and slime? That sounds like a pretty rough PG-13. I will still go see it, depite this. It looks really cool!

I had someone point that out to me the other day. I am quite surprised it is a PG-13 movie as well. It seems they are trying to target teenagers with this film, as opposed to adults like the other franschises on their own. I realize that PG-13 movies tend to get more viewers, but I don't think they realize how easy it is to alienate fans of both franchises. I'm expecting, and hoping this movie to live up to both of thier pasts, I'm expecting, and hoping this movie to be great, and break new ground for 'vs' movies, as while Freddy vs Jason was surreal, it was anything except a great movie, as the Aliens and Predator movies were. Less then 24 hours, we'll see soon enough I guess!!

Well Purp JUST saw it! IT RULES! And I didn't even know it was rated PG13 till I got to the theater (cus I don't like hearing any news on it before seeing it). Pffft, it figures though... Someone hurry up and see it so we can talk! I don't wanna spoil nothing.

I should be seeing it soon. I was supposed to go last Friday, and was supposed to go yesterday, but just never made it. I'm seriously going to try and go tomorrow, but no matter what, I will be seeing it this week for sure. And once a few of us has seen it, as I imagine alot of us will see it, I'll throw a spoiler tag in the title of the thread!

Hey guys, I just got back from it, and I have a few comments on the film.
*mild spoilers below*
Okay now. While I think the film's plot was pretty good, and it was visually impressive, I am a bit disapponited. First of all, the end of the movie, to me, was really cheesy, what with the "hero" Predator and Lex thing and all that. The acting was for the most part pretty bad, and there wasn't too much character development, which is always a bad thing with these types of movies.
I think the film was pretty much PG-13 material, despite the chest bursting thing. Other than that, and a buncha other alien goo and slime, there isn't much science-fiction action and gore.
The film is a little too short (80 minutes or soemthing), and the Alien/Predator fight sequences weren't all that great IMHO.
It was an okay movie I suppose, and was kind of entertaining, but I was expecting better.

I didn't really know what to expect, but I did like it. The only thing I didn't like was the acting. It's a mistake to get a bunch of nobody's who can't act for a movie like that.
