ahhhhhhhhhhh...ROTK was great.....although a lot of people thought the scenes between Frodo and Sam were a little too intense with all the I love you's and stuff....thought they were going to start swapping spit any moment.....but it catches the book perfectly in that aspect. there is nothing sam would not do for frodo....and people just dont get that in this day and age.

I agree 100% I guess some people will complain about anything, even great films such as LOTR. While I've never seen ROTK, I'll defend it with my last breath, as I'd bet my life it's an excellent movie. I cant wait to finally see it!

Timeline was a great movie, but I think the book is better.

Once again, I didn´t much care for the film. It was a nice try but that´s it. For one thing, I didn´t really have the time to care for any of the guys who got killed because we didn´t see enough of them and didn´t find out much about them before they got killed, which happened rather quickly in most cases. And frankly, was it really worth that all those people got killed just to get one man back to the future? Sorry but once again I found that the makers could have done a lot better with this film.

Bought Timeline the other day, and besides the fact that it was very predictable and there was very little character development, I enjoyed it. I'm a time travel freak. It was in my contract to enjoy it! LOL!

when it comes to movies from books, if the adaption sucks, the movie will suck.
The Jurassic Park book was 100 times better than the movie(ehich I did like as well)
The best adaption from book to movie has to be "The Green Mile" watching the movie after reading the book, I knew exactly what chapter they were at in the movie and how it all flowed so smoothly

I have yet to see a movie that actually comes close to the book it was taken from. Has anyone ever read Steven King´s book "The Running Man"? The story was part of a collection in a book called "The Bachman Books". Great story - fantastic in fact and nail bitingly suspenseful. Then some dodo makes a film out of it (with Arnie Schwarzenegger as the Running Man). Now... if I hadn´t read the book first, I would have thought: Not a bad film. But because I knew the story I was very very very disappointed. The only connection between the book and the film was the Games Building and that the Running Man was a game and that Arnie was running. That´s it. There is soooooo much more to the story and WHY he was running - not at all what they showed in the film. I really hate those movie makers when they mess up a great story and don´t stick to the original book !! There.... that´s me done. LOL

unfortunately that what happens when u like to read and watch movies....movies very rarely hold up to the book....so I usually go in to the movie knowing its not going to be exactly like the book...and judge it on how well they tried to keep the basic story flow and not judge it by how well they copied the book otherwise I would always be disappointed....BTW....Jurassic park was still an awesome movie even if it didnt follow the book exactly..lol ;D
