It was a great movie, and the people could act, but the book was better. But I could never crack that thing at the end of each incursion, or, section of the book. What was it?

Well I finally watched Timeline tonight. Better late then never huh? I thought it was a good movie. It was a little predictable, like with the guy finding the tomb of the man and the woman, once he met a woman in the past it wasnt hard to put two and two together, but reguardless of that, that was a nice aspect to the story. I'm a huge time travel fan, so I liked that, and liked the movie overall. Not only was the sci fi aspect of the movie cool, but so was the story set back in the 1300's the English against the French. I always liked historical movies (even if this was mostly fiction) but a historical movie with science fiction embedded into it? Awesome! I also like the causality loops that were in there, the guy staying behind with the lady for one, then remembering to place the bifocals back where they found them 600 years alter an other. If they didnt return the bifocals, then that would have caused a paradox, as if they never found them, the chain of events that lead them into the past wouldnt have taken place, so that was good thinking on thier part. So yeah, I liked this movie, and would reccomend it!

I read part of the book. It was interesting (the past at the beginning with the guy out of nowhere). I heard from other people that the book is pretty good.

I read the book.. and when I heard it was being made into a movie, I was so stoked to see the movie. Besides the whole "time traveling" thing, I really like the whole medieval period as well. However, I was severely disappointed. The movie was fairly entertaining.. but there were just some changes from the book that I couldn't live with.
