I read this Micheal Chreitan (cant spell it. the Jurassic Park guy) book when it was first released and it was excellent. I recommend the movie.

HAve you seen the movie?
I read on CNN that Stephen Hawking was at the premier and said that it was by far the best timetravel movie based on theoritecal formula's ever made.

I've not seen the movie either, but those kinds of movies are right down my ally. Hopefully I'll see it soon.
Spock, we should go see it this weekend sometime!

I saw it today. It was a good movie. There wasn't as much science in it as one might think, but it was a good adventure flick.

It does remind me more of an action movie then a sci fi movie SF.
I'm very interested in seeing it ecpecially since Stephen Hawkin said its scientifically accurate, for there would be no good science fiction without science, which I am a huge fan of as well. Nothing of fact fascinates me more then the science of Earth and quantim science/phyisics of the universe. I only wish I had excelled in mathmatics in scholl, but back then I hated math and pretty much skipped the classes.
If I had it all to do over again i'd be either an astonomer, scientist or a quantim physist, as I beleive i'd be damn good in that field for I have a wonderful imagination.

Once again, Ebert and Roeper give a movie a thumbs down that I thought was good. By no means did I think Timeline was great, but it was entertaining. I guess Timeline wasn't artsie enough for them. Some of their arguments were lame. For example, they wanted to know why ITC didn't use time travel to their corporate benefit. They didn't know why ITC would choose Castleguard 650 years ago. Obviously they weren't paying attention. It was clearly explained that ITC accidently discovered the worm hole and had no control over it. They didn't choose the Castleguard destination. They were trying for present day New York.

I never base a movie off of recommendations of critics.
Especially after it was revealed that alot of critics have been paid to give favorable reviews.

And I'm sure unfavorable reviews as well.
I think I'll enjoy Timeline, and will go see it if I get the chance.

I always listen to critical reviews of movies. If they hate it, I usually will like it. If they like it, it will be an emotional movie.
In the words of xKamelx, "If I want reality, I will go outside."

What Stephen Hawking meant by most realistic is the explaination given to explain how it happens.
I never listen to critics regardless, because if a movie looks good to me, I'll go see iut, but lately not many movies make me want to see them.

Nope, because why would I want to watch all of these reality TV shows when reality is just beyond my door. If that makes me 'wierd' then this world is scitzophrenic! ~Myke
