I'll haver to be honest, I've only seen a few episodes of DS9. All I know about it is what I've learned about it online, but starting tomorrow that is gonna change! Spike TV is gonna debut Deep Space 9. startingwith a marathon, the first 2 seasons in order, this week, Mon - Fri. That's 9 hours of DS9 a day While I am not gonna be able to watch 9 hours of TV a day, I am gonna record ALL of it, and watch it at my leasiure. When i'm done Spike TV will likly be starting season 3. I'm quite excited, and am happy I havent seen it before, as I get to start a new Trek series (new to me) from the very beginning, with an idea of what's to come! ~Myke

I think you will LOVE DS9....IMO the best series yet.....and the pilot episode is just great with the interaction between sisko and picard. you know sisko would love to jump his desk and strangle picard right then and there.

It has to be Voyager because one thing it was a lady captain, and a good one too. Then there was more of a sense of humour.. Tuvok, Paris, Chakotay, Doc, Kes.. I shall think more about why I like this, and come back

I choose TNG because I love the captain (no hair and all) and I think Data is a very interesting and funny character. But the person I love most is Deanna Troi´s mother Lwaxana. She is absolutely hilarious and I just laugh my head off when I see the expression on Picard´s face whenever she comes on board. ;D

Tough call. I think several series have their good points. Several also have their bad points.
TOS: Comedic sci-fi... or, as it has been put forth, "Horatio Hornblower In Space". Given that I've not read Horatio Hornblower, I'll withhold judgment on that, but let's face it: This is where it all began. Without TOS, there would be no Star Trek, period. Favorite character: Kirk.
Animated: Wasn't wild about it, but then again, I've only seen one cartoon episode, so I still can't really make a firm judgment on it.
TNG: Simply the best. Good character development and evolution (which followed through rather well in the movies, IMO). Good story arcs. Nasty villains (Romulans and Borg). Favorite character: tie between Picard and Data.
DS9: Almost as good as TNG. I still need to catch the last two seasons so that I know what really went down in the Dominion War without being forced to resort to reading over my expanded and revised Star Trek Encyclopedia, but it had many interesting points in its' favor. Favorite character: Odo and Dr. Bashir.
VOY: ... and the downward spiral begins. Voyager was so-so during the first season, and just went down the drain from there. Pity, too: there was so much potential to the premise, and between Rick Berman and Brannon Braga, all that potential was totally wasted. No favorite characters here... I thought they all weren't worth a darn.
ENT: ... the downward spiral continues. Enterprise is, to me, junk: you don't mess with an established timeline that works, and the two culprits are, again, Berman and Braga. Let's start with wrecking the idea of the NCC-1701 Enterprise being the first ship with the name (despite that throw-away model and line by Decker to the V'Ger-controlled Ilia in Star Trek: The Motion Picture). Then let's move the Klingon first contact back a good 65 years or so. Never mind making the Vulcans into superiority complexes who are so intent on controlling humanity that you wonder why they didn't just annex Earth as part of their territory and treat humans with about the same level of respect as pets... I could go on and on, and I've only watched a couple of episodes. I think you all get the picture.
Overall, TNG is the best to me, followed very closely by DS9 and TOS. Voyager and Enterprise, as far as I'm concerned, might as well never have been aired... Star Trek could have gone on just fine without them.

Oh.....those Enterprise comments STING!!!! *Speed wipes tears from his eyes*
For the love of God people: Give Enterprise a chance!!!! It's a good show!!!
Sure, they've messed with a few things in the accepted Trek timeline, but beyond this Xindi crap (which has actually started to get a lot better) I feel that we have gained a whole lot more than we've lost.
Not to be a butthole, Lykos, but you state that you've only seen "a couple" of episodes. To me that indicates 2. Are you sure you want to judge the entire 3 seasons based on 2 episodes? The acting is really top notch. With a lead like Scott Bakula, how could it not be? *Ahem* Quantum Leap anyone?
I just wish folks would give the show a chance. Y'know....go back and watch the episodes they've never seen, and do so with an open mind and the hope that Berman and Braga are going to get it right by the time the next season rolls around. I think this "screwing with the accepted timeline" that they're doing actually has a purpose and is leading up to something big related to the Temporal Cold War.
Hang in there Enterprise! Speed's still cheering for you!

Well, I watched some Enterprise and not only do I find it to be a bore... but I just can´t see Scott Bakula as the captain of a starship, not after playing in Quantum Leap - that´s the only part I can associate him with.

LOL I also find the acting in that programme awful - a starship captain Scott is not.... hahahaha Well, it only shows how differently we perceive the same actors.

PITY ME.... If you insist.... I pity you... LOL Well, you know what they say: It can only get better. Or if that doesn´t suit you: There is always light at the end of a tunnel... and then there is the one with a silver lining.... LOL Sorry to hear about your misfortunes, Wolf. Alas, we all have to go through some bad luck - how else would we recognise when good fortune crosses our path.
