No Myke that was the Krell(year of hell species) that Kes gave info for True, Janeway was killed in that attack when Kes was travelling backwards through time, but wasnt the Krell's weapons in temporal flux like Species 8472? I thought that was how they were massecering the Borg with.

I am not big on enter prise or the original. I dont like enterprise much mainly because I have missed to many so it's too late. I dont like the original series because everything was heavily Moralized(by that i mean almost every episode had a moral). I was unaware the was an animated series. Generation was preety good but DS9 was even better. Voyager was the best however mostly becuase of the interaction with the borg. I love the borg. I also liked all the different species and the delta quadrant...come on . Instant coolness.

Kes never gave any info on 8472 that I know of
The only time she did was when they were fighting them

Ahh a TOS fan! VEry cool, the Sci-Fi channel plays TOS on occasion (they are always changing thier lineups) if you have the channel.
I'm a fan of all of the series, even though I have never seen the animated series.

My favorite is the Next Generation, although Enterprise is very close to being the first. Anyway, I like TNG the most because it was on the only Star Trek series on Friday night. I used to catch the show on TNN's "Trek till midnight" marathon...until TNN changed to the now crappy Spike TV. I missed that show...and the DVDs are just way too expensive for me. Oh well, as long as Enterprise is still alive, I'm happy.

I'm actually a fan of every single Trek series out there. As a young child in the late 70's and early 80's, I watched TOS in syndication and managed to catch TAS on Nickelodeon. I still remember being 11 or 12 years old when TNG came out and yelling at my Mom to turn the vacuum cleaner off because I couldn't hear "Encounter at Farpoint." It was broadcast on a local FOX station that wasn't on cable yet. We had to use "rabbit ears" to pick it up. LOL!
As for DS9 and Voyager, I am only recently learning to love them. Thanks to the wonders of internet downloads, I am beginning to acquire a library of episodes of both series and I must say, They get better every time I see a "new" episode. So here's to everyone who is a fan of any Trek out there! Young or old, TOS or TNG! Live long and prosper!

I grew up on TOS in reruns, then when TNG came out, I actually didn't care for it at first. It wasn't till the 3rd season that I got into watching it every week.
DS9 I started to watch from the get go and lost interest in it around the 3rd season, then saw an episode in the 6th season dealing with the war, and then made an effort to get caught up(it wasn't until last year when they came out on DVD, that I saw seasons 3-6).
Voyager I liked from the beginning, but being on deployment twice during the shows run, I missed alot of the show and finally started catching up thanks to reruns airing here still to this day.

I grew up with some TOS, but since it wasnt Star Wars, I never really gave it a chance. Then TNG came out, and though I sawa few episodes, again, because it wasn Star Wars, I never really gave it a chance. Voyager is what really got me interested in Star Trek, and it took me some time of watching that untill I became a full fledged Trekkie. Since then I went back and caught the other series, and have seen most all of the episodes from each series except Deep Space 9. I am currently watching that series for the first time, and am in the middle of season 3. In a way, I'm glad I've never seen it before, as it's a terrific series, and I have the pleasure of whating it for my first time right now!!

DS9 got interesting mid 3rd season. After that it was a great show to watch.
The first season was slow, which was to be expected being a new series and all, and the second season had some hits, but it was slow as well.

I don't want to waste any space on explanation so I'll just say I totally agree with Conquering Wolf.
