Thats probably why it was edited out from the show itself then.

I never knew that about Gateways Mike. Although I don't plan to upgrade the CD Rom (I'll have another computer by the time I have to do that), I do plan to add a DVD burner eventually.

Buy a PC off the shelf Myke, and pay the extra for the extended warranty as well(they do come in handy, my PC's DVD-Rom went out, and they replaced it for free and the PC is 2 years old, but I have the 3 year extended warrantly on it through Best Buy, and the DVD-Rom is actually faster than what the PC had in it originally as well, since they no longer make the one I had, so I really got a free DVD-Rom drive)
Back to Stargate Atlantis, is it me, or does every single race they have been encountering lately seem to have ways to kill the wraith, and yet the stargate team cannot come up with a way?
I ask because the past 2 eps have dealt with new races and one has a biological weapon, and another is using nuclear weapons and both would succeed, but the nuclear option is out as it take to many to succeed.

I'm thinking that during each 'hibernation' period, species spend all of thier time trying to come up with a way to either destroy, or evade the Wraith, and to some extent they succeed, but there are just to many Wraiths to conquer.
The Stargate team i still new to this galaxy, and are pretty much where all of these species were when the Wraith showed up. At least that's my take on it.

Thing is, most of the time the stargate team is technologically advanced then these other species though. Surely with that brainiac they have(forgot his name, the one who built the atom bomb in high school) they should have been able to come up with something already.
They do have a defense with the gate, but as far as defending themselves, they still have yet to figure out how to sink Atlantis yet.

But they havent had the decades of research like these species has, or detail account of the Wratih's action, ect. I think that's the only reason, there are still ancient mysteries of this world, that we, a technolgicaly advanced species can't figure out still.

Regarding the kissy thing:
Oh, thank goodness. I was afraid there for a moment, but I understand now. I didn't realize they were played by the same person, very interesting. I can't wait until the 10th!

Thing is Myke, in the pilot they already had figured out a bit about the wraith already and then they captured one early on and studied it as well. I hate to say it, but they are holding it in an area that the creators of Atlantis built, wouldn't you think they have figured out how to use most of the stuff on Atlantis by now, or thought about bringing someone back from all these other worlds to see if they know something about it?
Also they have seen all these other species as well, so your saying they have not attempted to figure out by using their own research a way on their own yet? Every time they think they find something, it turns out not to work, so why have they not figured out with these other species research a way to do it themselves?

Well for Atlantis, that is almost complete laien technology. Not even SGC back on Earth has seen some of that technology yet. Up untill now the only technology of the Ancients that SG teams have seen is the actual Stargates, for the most part, the rest of the technology has been Gou'ld, and other species we are familiar with.
I also doubt many of the races the Atlantis team has come in contact with (which really hasent been that many yet, maybe 4 or 5) would be able to help them with Atlantis, as that city has been buried in the sea for thousands of years on that planet. Most species dosent even know how to operate thier own Stargate yet.
And for the last question, all I can answer is, apperantly not, lol. It reminds me of the first few seasons of DS9, they heard of the Dominion, and started to get a good idea of what the Dominion was, but still didnt know everything about them, not even when that Jem' Hadar was born on the station and grew up in a matter of days.

"It's her husband, who appeared breifly in "Rising" (the pilot). Mr. Weir is played by the same guy who played Narim (Sam's Tollan love interest) on SG-1. That kinda bothers me, but I can live with it." That's what I thought... Now, what did you mean by that? What was edited out? Sorry for going off the main discussion here, but I just want some clarity.

*Shrug* I guess you're right. BTW- Was it just me, or on one of the Atlantis commercials did Weir and McKay...Kiss!? I could've been seeing things, but that's what it looked like to me. Anyone know the commercial I'm talking about? I was referring to that post where Trekkie was asking if they were seeing things with that commercial

I just wonder if Narim actuall exscaped to Earth some how and hasn't been discovered yet, a clue to this is the video Weir left him, "...you know me well enofe..."!
That peace of line has to tell you he hasn't been with her too long.

Anyone notice Jolene Blalock (T'Pol from Star Trek Enterprise) on SG-1 last night?
Last nights Atlantis was pretty good. I knew they were not back on Earth, for obvious reasons, one being General Hammond, what was he doing in the SGC? But it was a cool epsisode, watching thier realities playout slightly different from what they really were. It reminded me of a Farscape episode that was similiar when John Crichton though he had returned home.
