I knew that the Atlantis Team wasn't on Earth from the start, thats just how the story has been playing out, the previews make you think something, but always its something almost completely different. And then everything turns out just fine, but sometimes something will happen that will cause you to jump in your seat. That is one of the things that make the show interesting.

I liked this weeks episode.
I knew it was fake the second she went to her boyfirned and he said he didnt care that she had left. No way in real life would anything like that ever happen.

Yes, I thought this was a great episode. I didn't see the previews for it, so I didn't know what to expect, but I thought something was up the moment they walked into the SGC and General Hammond was there. I wonder why they didn't notice that being a bit strange?

I wonder why they didn't notice that being a bit strange? Because they mentioned prior to it, that they had found a way to send them back so it wouldn't be out of place to have the boss actually be there Myke. It happens all the time in real life at many jobs as well.

Makes sence, it was something so important that General Hammond himself would be there.
I didn't think of that, I was just thinking that Gen. O'Neill was head of the SGC now.

Jack is head of the SGC, but General Hammond is at the Pentagon, over seeing things related to the Stargate, and I think it wasn't his place to be there to greet them by himself, Gen O'Neill should have been there too. Or atleast a team of scientists to wright down all that they had observed.

I agree Favorite, that would make sence storyline wise. I think in real life though they used Hammond as a special attraction, and the rest of the actors are probably only contracted for so many episodes or something, and they didn't want to pay them any extra. Plus it's a good thing not to have too much of the SG-1 cast on Atlantis, as it helps keep Atlantis a seperate show in the eyes of the viewers.

If you wanna put it that way, yes. Money is something to consider, even for rich people. It might also hurt raitings if they put too many Stargate SG-1 into Atlantis, because it is supposed to be seperate shows, and the viewers like it that way, atleast that is what I think.

I am at this moment watching a "behind the scenes" of Stargate Atlantis, which will start showing here from next week on, I think. I didn´t know that the old SG1 crew was still in it. I thought it was a completely new programme, with new actors and a stargate under water - hence Atlantis. I saw clips from the new Atlantis series and they are all running around and chasing each other above ground. So in effect, it´s really the same old programme with a few added baddies who are from below the sea... I must say, I wasn´t very impressed with the clips I saw AND I saw Teal´c with hair. LOL

LOL Only the premiere has SG1 characters in it Val. They have to get from Earth to Atlantis somehow, so they use the SGC Stargate to leave Earth. One they leave Earth, they don't come back, they are stuck out the in the Pegis Galaxy. And you couldn't be any more far off. Wait untill you see a few of the shows, it's completly different then SG1. Imagine SG1 being Star Trek TNG, then Atlantis would be the DS9 of the Stargate Franchise. The DS9 crew were on a Cardassian station, using Cardassian technology, well the Atlantis team is on a base created by the Ancients, and are using Ancients technology, which is far superiour to anything they have seen, and very difficult to get to work right. Yeah, the two series are worlds apart, you'll see.!! And lol, you finally saw Teal'c with hair. He looks strange dosen't he!

LOL And OK, I didn´t know you only see the SG1 crew once and not again. I thought they were there the whole time because this "behind the scenes" documentary, which was suppose to be about "Atlantis" showed the SG1 crew all the way through... That´s why I thought they were still there. I guess they only showed the "behind the scenes" from that premiere you were talking about. OK, I will definitely give it a go and watch it, if I catch it, that is.

Well hopefully you like it, you'll have another new show to watch, and that's always a good thing. I watched the same behind the scenes special a few months back, and yes, it does mostly focus on the premier. Robert Patrick is also in the premier, which was pretty cool. I think the best aspect of the behind the scenes special is the explination of the Wraith, they will become the main villian in the series, but much like the Dominion in DS9, they are reamining a mystery for now, which is good storytelling!

I like Atlantis more than SG-1 because they are taking there time with it.
They are slowly introducing the characters one at a time and thats detrimental because that way you have a harder time determining a favorite character.
Although the show seems to be centered around Shepherd, it really isn't, because we know so much about he other characters as well.
