But Captain Janeway changed her mind and went with Admiral Janeway's plan and cVoayager returned tot the Alpha Quadrant earlier.. It would have been better if they had found a wormhole and returned or the other Caretaker had helped them go back - this controversy would never haver arisen.

Thing is, Captain Janeway did not take that choice without the crew. She wasn't going to do it originally, it wasn't until the senior staff said they should, did she do it.

Or the Borg would eventually realise assimilation is futile, so a Borg queen be made the captain of a Federation starship. Humans for the most part be spending their time in holodecks which would be many times more advanced than the on the TNG Enterprise. The Borg queen would also remain in contact with The Collective informing about new planets but with the directive never to assimilate them. There would be several androids like Data with no ranks, used as soldiers and for maintaining the ship. That would never happen. A borg queen would never be allowed to join and never would join. If the Borg get new info on planets and they wpuld evaluate the potential and assimilate them. They are unable to get make more androids.

I think the show would work as long as continuity with the previous shows was maintained. Which century had the Starfleet Temporal Corps. I remember Janeway discussing it.

I have often wondered the same thing myself. I think it would work out. It all depends on who produceses it too. As long as they dont get too out of hand.

Let's not get out of hand. The Enterprise J was in the 27th century, i think... According to M-Theory of the Universe, since everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen already exists, the only solution is that Admiral Janeway came from another 'brane. Therefore, Voyager received technology from outside of their universe, which means that it was already going to happen. also, archer was mentioned WAY, WAY, WAY back in a book based on the original series, something with Gary Seven and a living dome protecting a city. Judging by Gary Seven's A)Superadvanced technology B)freakish accustomment to the society he embeded himself in C) uncanny lack of mistakes D) ability to almost perfectly predict his opponents' next move, i would have to say that he is either human from later the 2900 AD, or he's an alien race thats had that much time to develop. It is possible that Gary Seven can only travel forwards in time, like us all, but his race lives exceedingly long lives and have been developing unhindered for millenia. Thus, without breaking physical laws, Gary Seven would noty appear in a future series unless he was still alive. Also, I think it would be interesting to see some show from the perspective of Q. Like, it would put you in the middle of historic events chose by the Q (aka. Big Bang, Creation of Borg, Discovery of Time Travel, Destruction of Expanse, and of course, the day time froze.)

:)Yeah would be great. I would like see them do more series forever as well including one set at Starfleet academy, on the Klingon Home world, or on Romulus. There is so much scope for new series and new movies without making look like they're flogging a dead horse. How about even a visit by superior aliens from another galaxy, such as M33. And what about a series or movie set onboard the USS Titan, so we can see where Troi and Riker end up, and what about the android B4?

There is so much possible scope. We could probably supply endless ideas to the producers. We just have to get somebody with a lot of cash and a lot of interest in Star Trek to start producing more shows. But, they'll probably need a new movie in order to get the cash for a new series. Maybe we could see a movie for the umm... hmmm.... how about a movie for right after voyager ended with the federation udgrading their ships with all the new tech. And then they could do this story that was in a book called Homecoming where there's a new borg plague on Earth. Woah! Maybe that's how the Borg were created. Yikes!

First, I think they really need to stay away from time travel as I think that is one of the main things that killed Enterprise. Second, I don't care if they do it way in the future or closer to the present as long as they get back to "Exploring New Worlds, and Dicovering New Civilizations." that is what Star Trek is about, and that is when it was at it's best.

but they're kinda running out of galaxy to explore. maybe they'll have something like in stargate atlantis and a ship will get thrown out to another galaxy and then they have to work REALLY hard to get back, maybe even build a whole new federation...

My friends and I have done some Fan-Fic, revolving around a 25th Century Series. One thign we did was follow in the footsteps of TOS to TNG, and kept with a crew exploring the galaxy, (though the ship was not GASP the Enterprise). one thing that has always bugged us was that every Captain has been human, so we made our captain distinctly not human. Also, (DS9 was better about this than most) the entire main crew is amost all human in most series, Our main crew is much more specially integrated. there are at least 4 distinct species represented in the main crew. Algarian (our own added species), Human, Vulcan, and Nalvernox (also our own). we also played with the political environment, and though not on our ship we have seen a Cardassian in Starfleet (ala Worf). 25th series is fun, but can easily be done wrong, hope they can pull it off. (I also hope that I could be involved in the creative processs, SIGH to dream.
