Just wondering, what is your favorite type of Science Fiction? There are many different types, to space epics, future worlds, present day cloning, virus', doomsday scenerios, sci-fi nature (eg: Day After Tomorrow, The Core, Jurassic Park, ect.), time travel, ect. There are all kinds.
Out of the ones listed, and the ones not, what themes are your favorite?

I don't mind a space epic, as long as it has some story to it ... there's a lot of trash out there ....

Oh thats easy, for me it has to be these ones based in a completely different world with some kind of magic or dragons or something like that.

I like them all - as long the story is interesting and not dull, I like all genre. Of course if there is a "space" film, I would be more inclinded to want to watch it than an Earth-bound film.

I kind of agre with Val on this, I love all aspects of Sci-Fi!! However, like Wolf, my favorite aspect is Space, the universe and such. Probably due to my love of our own universe and my deep intrest I have in it. But a space movie/show with an element of time travel in it, well thats just Sci-Fi heaven for me!

I prefer space epics and colonization, time travel, futuristic worlds.
Basically any type of Sci-Fi I am a fan of to a point. If the movie sucks of course I will bash it lol

I think Doomsday epics are interesting, as they are a window into the reality we could every well face. Armageddon, Deep Impact, 12 Monkeys, ect. arent that far fetched as far as similiar events happening in real life. Remember when Truman says thier budget allows them to observe 8 percent of the sky, or something, that's about the truth.
It's also nice to see the world comming together, as one. Like on Independence Day, the U.S. were giving Iraqis (Under Saddam's command) information on how to destroy the ships, the president declared the 4th of July no longer just an American holiday, but a world wide holiday. That's an aspect of reality we all want to see come true, the world uniting as one. Saddly, I think it will take a major catastophy for us to be united.

Yep, very sad, that's why I love those movies, sometimes our imagination is just an extention of what we want to see in real life - another reason why I like science fiction so much. Alot of the Sci-Fi we see, will become a reality one day...

Pretty much any type that keeps my attention, but mostly any kind that makes me think, and that doesn't usually disappoint.
