There HAS to be other life out there.....whether its advanced enough to be intelligent or have space travel is another thing....though I think thats likely too....races could have had space travel for millions of years and never happened by our part of the universe...we never know. as far as the whale comment...just think...star trek IV....when the whales became extinct....a probe was sent to find out why they lost contact with the whales....so what about dolphins....they are soooooo smart and have an affinity for us....anyone think maybe dolphins are aliens that we just dont know how to communicate with them? the possibilities are endless.

The possabilities are endless. I think there are parts othe universe that are older then the big bang, and if there is a species who has been a space faring species for millions of years, depending on here they are, their chances o finding us may be .00000000000000001 in 900 Trillion. Imagine if there were 900 trillion lengths of the known universe away from us, I doubt as highly intelligent as they are, they could reach us. We often think of the extreme size that is out galaxy, but in reality our galaxy is just s peck of sans in the universe, just as we are spec of sand in our galaxy.

No kidding, I have a hard time believing we are alone out there, no matter how many ways I run it through my head, there is life out there. .. .

I also believe there is life out there, considering how many stars are out there just in our galaxy alone and the rate they are finding planets aswell. But the question is would they want to make first contact with us? can you imagine george bush trying to contact with them? he would ask them to join his war on terror.

I think it's a very dangerous game searching for alien life. We could either discover a peacful race like the Vulcans, or a warrior race bent on domination like the Klingons.

Well if the vulcans turned we could send them to Tibet, the klingons to Iraq, the ferengi to las vegas and the Borg to France has nobody likes them (french I mean)

There has to be life out there somewhere, besides us.
But the bigger mystery is, have we already found the "advanced races" we've all been looking for. But be aware of the many frauds along your journey to the truth. I do not believe that aliens arive in "fly saucers", but we may never know...

Agreed. I won't even imagine they look like the little green fella in my sig, but like you said, we never know. I'd imagine if we did discover life, almost over aspect of them and thier civilization, would be like none of the preconceptions we have to date.

I think that flying saucers are just the airforce's experiments. They did have a flying disk, but it failed... Maybe it didn't fail, or that design failed so they built an even more advanced and capable aircraft.
In the universe, there is an infinate number of possiblities. If you think about it, there could be a race out there who may be looking at the stars as we do, from ground based telescopes and slow satilites. A world might have seen us and identified us as an inteligent race, but have no way of contacting us. They may be using a whole different form of comunication, other than radio. They may have too much interferance in their atmosphere to use radio, so a different form of communication might be used. And a bright flash of light, would only be considered an exploding star, and take too long to reach us...

That's an interesting theory, one that I agree with. A species would have to be so advanced to reach us, that thier level og technology would be almost unimaginable to us.
It makes me wonder though, whos out there looking back...

I've heard many stories how, the Greys as their called, have no regards to time. They can travel back and forth in time. I'm not real sure what signifigance this has, but you never know...

In one aspect, I believe time travel is possible. If we can move back and forth in our 3 dimensions, then why not in the 4th dimension of time? I know, easier said then done. I think though, if a species is intelligent and advanced enough to travel to different star systems, then that species has a great understanding of the universe, and space time, thus time travel would be a likely possiblility for them.

I believe we could acheive those types of travel, but we are too worried about Earthly things then about what is out there... We should quit noseing around our own planet and put all our efforts into exploring space, we as a planet might find something!
